Lindow-Cleaver Residence
Horsehead Bay, Gig Harbor, WA

David Lindow and Vicky Cleaver asked us to work with them on the design of their new home on Horsehead Bay in Gig Harbor. Their site features a natural medium bank overlook with sweeping views of the bay, Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains.

The design of this home echoes historic camp or lodge architecture with board siding, shingles and corrugated galvanized metal roofing. The wood windows have a classic red painted finish. Also on the site is a boathouse and guest cottage. No camp or lodge structures would be complete without generous amounts of stone.

The interior features heavy timber beams and posts, stone, concrete and pine plank flooring. The kitchen cabinetry has been designed by Vicky to resemble historic paned cabinets that appear to be pieces of furniture.
