Schrenk Residence
Fox Island, WA

Dave and Soozee Schrenk have used this historic waterfront property on Fox Island as a get a way spot for several years. The home was built in the 1910's and is similar to another Fox Island home that Drager Gould Architects renovated several years ago, and was built by the same contractor.

The structure of this home was sturdy but it definitely needed a makeover to fit better into the Schrenk's modern lifestyle.

Our concept adds space to the small kitchen, a media room, a garage with guest suite and a master suite. Headroom and view issues are solved on the upper floor by adding a large dormer. Now we can call on the Schrenks at a proper front door, instead of entering through the kitchen.

The original design has been preserved and enhanced maintaining a traditional feeling throughout.
