Stockdale Residence
University Place, WA

Bryan and Dianna Stockdale's home, built in the late 60's, was in need of renewal. While the existing home was a fairly solid structure it lacked the charm and style that the Stockdales wanted.

We designed a new 2nd floor containing a master suite and a home office that take advantage of the view of Fox Island and the Olympic Mountains to the west. An outdated kitchen was moved and the living room area was reconfigured to create a great room with views to the water as well.

By extending the roof line from the existing walls and shifting the new upper floor toward the view side, we were able to maintain a low and welcoming scale on the front of the home. A new entry portico and trellis add character and scale defining elements.
